The Real Florida... Wide Angle Version

Northern Florida in early Autumn.

I've never been too interested in landscape photography, but a lot of the landscape photography I see I find very lovely however, in an effort to better learn my craft and also work with panoramic imagery, I take landscape photographs despite preferring portraiture.

The weather was pretty beautiful this day and the days leading up to when this photograph was taken. Florida summers can be pretty hot and brutal, especially with the humidity hits you like a sauna on the 4th of July. As soon as the first day of autumn hit, we were graced with these lovely (at least to me, especially as a photographer) overcast days. I knew I needed to whip out the camera.

This is a small pond behind a library where I take my son for story time. I always find it remarkably beautiful and very 'Florida' like.
