Whether a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where it falls, there will it lie

All I can say is… Wow.

Now, on the other end of the spectrum, Time.com has a nice article about all those smart kids you made fun of when you were growing up and because of how our educational system is set up, we are squandering them and setting them up for failure.

A line that I found particularly interesting in the article is

“The school poses blunt questions about American education: Has the drive to ensure equity over excellence gone too far? If so, is the answer to segregate the brightest kids?”

I would like to answer those questions from my experience, and the answers are yes and yes.
