I just can’t believe what I’m seeing here. During an organized event, a police officer just knocks the crap out of a cyclist as the officer walks in the cyclists way, even though the cyclist tries to get out of the way.

Not to take side, but it makes me wonder what happened off camera before we see the cyclist that the cop singled him out and went out of his way to stop him?

It’s easy to always want to side with authority, but they enforce the law only, they aren’t above it, and from the video, I don’t see a need whatsoever to have to stop someone the way that was done by that police officer.

It was in the middle of an organized event where there were plenty of other cyclists. I think the cop decided to walk in front of a group of cyclists, the guy on the bike tried to avoid him, the cop thought he was above the law and shoved the guy off his bike. He (the officer) should have paused and let the cyclist go through as opposed to blocking his path.

You can see the cyclist tried to avoid the officer. The only way he could go was left since the other officer was behind him.

Anyway, I’m glad this officer got suspended and lost his license. There is no need for that type of abuse or action from enforcement officers.
