I got this in my email yesterday,

Line 6 FedEx drop email

which means, I got this when I went home.

I didn’t get much time to play with it, but from the little that I did, I can definitely see this coming in handy for recording… dare I say it, maybe even for playing live on a few occasions (you know, the ones where you get that call the day before, “hey, can you play tomorrow at six? We’re not practicing but the songs are easy.)

I’m supposed to record a little later this evening, so even though I haven’t messed with it much, we’ll see how it goes. I’ll try to post my thoughts after messing around with it for a while.

Hey,

I have the Toneport which is basically the same thing only just the software. I love it for recording. There are many nights where I am up very late cranking…I don’t know…Enter Sandman…through my cans, oblivious to the fact that my wife has been standing there with our screaming infant wanting me to take over.

“What were your playing?”

I say I was laying tracks

“You’re recording Metallica songs”

Then I have to fess up to the fact that I had it on some cheesy Rectifier setting that sounds enormous but will never see the light of day because it is too cliche.

That was really long…enjoy yer box.

Adam, thanks for the tip on toneport. I’m still getting used to navigating around the thing. Looks like it plays nicely with garageband. I have a feeling that I might need to spend some time in the manual to figure out what exactly I’m doing with this thing but I think I like it enough to start spend plenty of time with it.

Keep those late night sessions rocking and maybe I’ll have to download one of those ‘cheesy rectifier’ settings of yours sometime.
