Anberlin’s New Surrender

by Samuel Febres

Rock band Anberlin released their newest album titled New Surrender. If you’re not familiar with Anberlin, they’re a Florida (Orlando) band that was previously on Tooth and Nail Records but it looks like they’re not on a Universal label.

The band is great, straight-forward, in your face Rock and Roll music. Great musical writing and lyric writing. If you haven’t heard any of their music before, you can check out a video from their last album here and listen to a few tracks from their last album here.

I’m really enjoying this album this far. It feels a little bit short, but it’s definitely a great album to pick up. If you act fast, you should be able to pick up the album on Anberlin - New Surrender for only $7.99. I think Target is also selling it for $7.99 or you can pick it up at Best Buy for $9.99 with a special 30 minute DVD (this was the one that I picked up).

I’m loving the single for the album (which is actually from a previous album) called Feel Good Drag. It’s a pretty driving song.

Check out their Anberlin’s myspace page to stream the whole album (if still available) and then head on over to their website for more info such as touring from the band. Their last.fm profile page can be found here.

Don’t forget to get your copy of the album, it’s money well spent. Feel free to click on –> Anberlin - New Surrender to take you directly to the itunes store.

Here’s The Feel Good Drag, the version off of an earlier album called Never Take Friendship Personal.

Here’s a video of them performing The Feel Good Drag on Jimmy Kimmel Live the day after New Surrender was released.
